When it launched, Orion Results was revolutionary. Today, its legacy continues—fully modernized—through Rezults, the next‑generation platform Scopos introduced a few years ago.

A Look Back: Orion Results was Revolutionary for its Time

When Scopos (then Shooter’s Technology) introduced the Results Center 17 years ago, it fundamentally changed how athletes, coaches, and spectators interacted with shooting competitions.

• First general-purpose results website for the shooting sports
• First platform to support Virtual Matches, enabling teams to compete at their home ranges while scores merged seamlessly online
• First to support general-purpose Leagues, allowing teams to compete in spectator friendly win-loss formats
• First to support general-purpose Tournaments, aggregating scores across groups of matches

Why Orion Results was Decommissioned

As technology and the shooting sports evolved, Orion Results—designed in a pre‑mobile era—could no longer meet the needs of modern athletes and spectators.

• Not mobile-friendly - it was built exclusively for desktop use
• Limited event support - primarily designed for the rifle and pistol Olympic disciplines
• No user login - prevented athletes from accessing personal score histories or individualized content

These limitations made it clear that the sport needed a more flexible, modern, and mobile‑first platform.

Rezults: The Modern Successor

Launched in 2023, Rezults is the fully modern, mobile‑friendly platform that replaces Orion Results and carries forward every major feature—enhanced, expanded, and rebuilt for today’s shooting sports community.

• Matches, result lists, leaderboards, club pages, virtual matches, leagues, and tournaments have all been ported to Rezults with both desktop and mobile views
• Athlete login allows shooters to view their complete personal score history — every score they’ve ever fired
• Full compliance with the Reconfigurable Rulebook standard, enabling Rezults to support any competition format and any result list structure
• Free access for all Orion for Clubs customers and all athletes, just as Orion Results always provided

Rezults is not just a replacement — it is a leap forward.

What’s Coming Next

Scopos is dedicated to iteratively expanding the Rezults platform. Already this year:

• Club account management is now available directly within Rezults, with customizable club pages coming soon
