Introducing the Rezults Leaderboard

Introducing the Rezults Leaderboard

Scopos is pleased to announce our new Rezults Leaderboard. It’s state of the art, easy to use, and easy to follow. It’s available now on Rezults for all events supported by Orion, and works with both Electronic Scoring Targets (ESTs) and paper targets.

Rezult’s Leaderboard is designed to either be displayed on a large screen TV or projected against a screen. It is specially designed for spectators to let them know who’s playing, who’s winning, and by how much.

Introducing "Gap"

A leaderboard isn’t exciting unless you know who’s winning and by how much. This is why the Rezults Leaderboard ranks athletes by their projected score and displays the gap between them and competitor in front of them.

We introduced the projected score in our newsletter, “The Results List Axiom.” A “predictive score” simply means the score an athlete is expected to finish with based on their performance so far in the competition. This lets spectators know how each athlete is performing relative to each other, each moment of the match, regardless of how fast or how slow an athlete is shooting.

The “Gap” (see footnote below) is by default the points difference between each athlete’s projected score, and the projected score of the competitor in front of them. The smaller the number, the closer an athlete is to overtaking them. The larger the number, the further an athlete is from them. If an athlete has a gap of 0.2 or 0.3 points, they are really close to overtaking the next comopetitor. But if an athlete has a gap of 10.0 or more points, they are a long ways away.

Opening the Leaderboard

The Leaderboard is available to all publicly available Orion matches. Publicly available just means that everyone can access the results of your match online, both on our new mobile-friendly Rezults website (rezults.scopos.tech) and our legacy Results Center (www.orionresults.com). Match sponsors looking to enable this should, within Orion, open Match Properties, and on the Rezults tab select “Upload scores and allow public to access scores."

Then, open the match in your web browser using Rezults. The easiest way to do so is to click the globe icon in Orion. Finally, click the “Leaderboard” link on the left hand side.

Once opened, the Leaderboard will cycle through the primary results lists within your match. Or, you can select a single specific list to display. The Leaderboard refreshes automatically as Orion receives scores either from ESTs or paper targets.

Footnote

The "Gap" column is configurable, and can be set to represent the projected score difference between :

  • Each competitor and the competitor directly ahead of them, which is the default option.
  • Each competitor and the leader of the event.
  • Each competitor and the cutoff score to make the Final.
