Athena for Clubs

An Athena for Clubs range uses its own internal wireless network for communication. Targets, monitors, and displays connect via WiFi. The compact server and networking equipment generally connect via cables. The Athena range requires internet access for initial setup, adding new devices, software updates, etc, and at least once every 28 days to renew security certificates. Your range does not necessarily need constant internet access to function.

Athena for Clubs does require an active Orion license to function. A Windows computer running Orion is required to act as the range control software for Athena for Clubs.

For more information related to Athena for Clubs networks, view our support topic: https://support.scopos.tech/athena-network-configuration.html

Considerations For Your Range

  • POWER: Each target and monitor require their own electrical plug. We recommend using a multi-outlet extension cord, such as the ones found in our web store.
  • SPACING: Targets and monitors are generally placed approximately 1 meter apart.
  • BACKSTOP: Although the NC100 does contain an integrated backstop, some ranges may choose to have an additional backstop behind the targets, such as ballistic curtains. Ranges with the NC200 MUST provide their own backstop behind the targets.
  • NETWORKING: One wireless access point usually provides plenty of signal strength for small to medium sized ranges. It is recommended that the access point be mounted centrally between the target line and firing line. For especially large indoor ranges, contact us to discuss networking requirements.

Athena at Home

An Athena at Home unit connects via WiFi, generally to your home's existing internet connection. It does not require any server equipment or the use of Orion. The Athena at Home target and monitor must be connected to the internet at all times during use.

Athena at Home does require the use of a Scopos account on our new Rezults website in order to set up and pair your target and monitor.
