We hope you and your shooters have been enjoying participating in our National Leagues, and seeing how your teams are stacking up against each other. Things just got even better.
You might have noticed there is now an official Athletes tab for the Leagues. Only athletes that have set up their Scopos account and made it public (the fourth option when editing your profile) will be shown on this list, so if you want to see how you stack up, you can head over to Rezults to create or edit your account here. Just as a reminder, there is not an individual award given during Scopos Leagues. This is purely for fun, and maybe just a few bragging rights. There are 1400 athletes competing in this year's National Leagues from all over the US, and even other countries, so we hope to see many of you taking advantage of this opportunity.
If this is the first time you are registering for a Scopos account, welcome! However, your scores from League games shot before creating your profile will not be linked to your account, which means they will not be added to your running average or total. After creating an account, any practice or match done with a linked Scopos account will be available, and you will be able to view them from within your profile henceforth. Think of this as your online shooting journal.
To make sure that your Scopos account is linked when you are shooting a match, be sure to have your email in the appropriate field under “Match Competitors” in Orion during match setup. During practice on Athena, you may log into your firing point via the Monitor to review the practice later. If your coach has any questions, they are more than welcome to contact us during normal business hours.
Scopos’ Athlete Profiles are especially useful to athletes who might be looking at furthering their shooting career and competing on a college team, as you can easily share your match history and contact info through your public profile. These statistics are often looked at when thinking of recruiting a junior shooter into a college team, and might help an athlete get noticed as they compete in various matches.
Shoot straight! (or… parabolic). Most importantly, have fun!
