The second week of the National Air Rifle League is complete, and the competitiveness of the Precision League comes into focus. The top Four teams in the league are averaging above 2400.0.
To add to the competitiveness, five other teams are within 30 points of this benchmark. This includes last season's Precision League champions, Lafayette Gun Club.
The second week of the league was again highlighted by a random schedule, with an emphasis on both inter-division and inter-conference play. Starting with the third week coming up, teams are now squadded against other teams of similar skill level. This will mean more close games with either team having a chance to earn the win each week.

American Legion Post 295 retains their number one ranking in the Precision League with a win over fell Champions Division team Robinson Rifle Team. By less than a point, Sutter Union High School earns a win over Everett Sportsman Junior Rifle Club. Despite his team’s loss, Trey Myers, from Everett Sportsman Junior Rifle Club, had the second highest individual score this week with a 617.5. Thanks to this win, and the 10 league points that come with it, Sutter Union High School retains their overall third place ranking. Everett Sportsman Junior Rifle Club is now fourth.

Mariner AJROTC retains the number one ranking in the Sporter League after a win last week over Champions Division team North Brunswick AJROTC. For the second week in a row they broke the 1150.0 margin, scoring 1151.2 points this week. With a 2 - 0 record Mariner AJROTC has a bye week coming up, and North Brunswick AJROTC has a game against 1 - 0 Norview NJROTC.
After a bye week the first week, the 2022 Sporter League Champion, Pascagoula NJROTC earns their first win this season over Patuxent NJROTC. Notably, Patuxent NJROTC was the only team to defeat Pascagoula NJROTC last season, in a game that was decided by only 0.5 points. With this win, Pascagoula NJROTC currently sits in ninth place in the Champions Division and second place in the NJROTC Conference.
In the Elite Division, Hereford MCJROTC and Hendrickson MCJROTC squared off last week, with Hereford MCJROTC earning the win by only 1.4 points. However, and thanks to their performance from week one, Hendrickson MCJROTC sits second in the Elite MCJROTC rankings, with Hereford MCJROTC currently sitting in fourth place.
