With two weeks left in the regular season, teams are vying both for post-season bids and their divisional squadding next season. The top 8 teams in both the Sporter and Precision Leagues’ Champions Division will earn spots in the postseason Championship Tournament. For the Sporter Champions Division only, the next 8 teams get invited to compete in the Invitational Tournament. In the Distinguished and Elite Divisions, the top two teams in each Conference will get invited to the postseason to compete in a single conference title game.
In the Precision League, Granbury MCJROTC continues to pull away in 1st place and are currently ahead of last year's Precision Championship winners Sutter Union High School by nearly 20 League Points. In Sporter League, Jack C. Hays MCJROTC stands poised to hold onto 1st place with a nearly 17 point lead over Zion Benton. They are the only team in either League with 6 wins so far this season.
In this Hawaiian team matchup from Week 6, Waimea took this opportunity to slide back into the top 10 Sporter teams after defeating Kauai High School by just 2.6 points. They now hold the 8th place spot, with Kauai in 9th. They are one of only seven teams in the Sporter League with an undefeated record, with a 5 - 0 currently. This week they will shoot against North Brunswick AJROTC.
Clarkrange recovered from two weeks of losses to defeat Seneca Valley in Week 6. Coming into Week 7 at 3 - 2, they will match up with C.T. Johnson AJROTC this week and Saint Thomas Academy in their final week.
Webb City maintained their 4th place spot in the Sporter League this week by defeating North Brunswick AJROTC. After this match, they sit above North Brunswick by about 15 League Points, but only behind 3rd Place Norview NJROTC by 3.5 Points. This week is their bye week to prepare for their final match against Bradley Central AJROTC in Week 8.
Sutter Union High School won their 3rd game in a row in Week 6, defeating Robinson Rifle Team and solidifying their spot in 2nd place.
In a noteworthy coincidence, the team scores for Sutter Union and their opponents the last 2 weeks have been identical. Sutter Union shot a 2451.6 in both Weeks 5 and 6, and their opponents shot a 2363.9 in both Weeks 5 and 6. Check out their League Page to view their matches. This week, they will be facing current 1st place team Granbury MCJROTC.
