Granbury MCJROTC stayed firmly in the lead of the Precision teams last week, shooting their highest score yet this season of a 2433.6. They outpace second place Everett Sportsman Junior Rifle Club by more than 25 League Points. The Sporter League is in a bit tighter competition, where any of the top teams could still be trounced of their spot any week. Returning 2023 champs Jack C. Hays MCJROTC sit at the top of Sporter League with a 4-0 record.
In the Precision League, not much changed with the top 10 teams. All teams are the same and only Lafayette Gun Club and C.T. Johnson AJROTC switched places. In the Sporter League, the top 7 stayed the same. Further down, there was more significant movement and big wins.
In this MCJROTC matchup in Week 4, Palm Bay shot their highest score of the season, and the 2nd highest score this week at a 1154.1, defeating West Valley. This moved Palm Bay up several placings to 6th now in the Sporter League. This week they will compete against Pace NJROTC.
Ramona continued their trend of increasing scores last week, improving on their prior match by nearly 40 points, to defeat Pascagoula with a 1131.8. This propelled them upward in the Sporter rankings by a handful and gives them a 3-0 record. This week they will shoot against Trigger Time 4-H Shooting Education Club.
South Panola claimed a 3-0 record after their 2nd close win in a row this week, defeating Summerlin by just 2.7 points. This week, they will face off against Mariner AJROTC. As an aside, South Panola just got their new Athena EST range installed last week. We hope to see them make the most of it for the remainder of the season.
Collecting their first win of the season with their highest score so far, Reading Rifle and Revolver Club defeated Heritage Classical in Week 4. This is Reading's first season competing in the National League. They currently sit in the middle of the pack in 12th place. Week 5 will see them competing against Hereford MCJROTC.
