This week will mark the end of the first half of the Air Pistol and New Shooter Leagues. In the Air Pistol League, placings seem to be shaping up, with very little movement last week and all teams separated by at least 20 League Points.

In the New Shooter League, Fontana MCJROTC has a handle on 1st place, and Marcos de Niza AJROTC took back their 3rd place spot last week. McMichael AFJROTC is in the second place spot with less than a 1 point lead over Marcos de Niza.

Mountain View MCJROTC Defeats American Legion Post 290

Mountain View MCJROTC exited Week 4 of the New Shooter League with a 3 - 0 record after defeating American Legion Post 290. Mountain View, from Stafford, VA, finished in the 2024 season of the New Shooter League with a 5 - 3 record. They look to be setting up for an even cleaner record this year. This week, they will shoot off against the team placed just below them, Mountain Home NJROTC, who has a 2 - 0 record.

Marcos de Niza AJROTC Defeats Summerlin Academy AJROTC

Marcos de Niza AJROTC claimed the third place spot in the New Shooter League last week after defeating Summerlin Academy AJROTC with their highest score yet this season. Last week, Marcos de Niza lost their game by only 1.0 point, and must have used that as inspiration to hone their training and shoot a score nearly 20 points higher this week. This week, they will shoot against first place team Fontana MCJROTC.

Cos Cob Revolver and Rifle Club Defeats Grand Rapids Rifle & Pistol Club

Cos Cob Revolver and Rifle Club won their second match of the season last week against Grand Rapids Rifle & Pistol Club. Cos Cob now sits in second place in the Air Pistol League, just a handful of League Points above Lafayette Gun Club, one of only two 3 - 0 teams in the Air Pistol League so far. Cos Cob will have a bye this week.
