Each month Scopos organizes an ongoing series of Monthly Virtual Matches for both rifle and pistol disciplines. The intent is to give shooters a fun new way to participate, allowing them to compare their results with other shooters and teams from within their town, state, country or even across the planet.
Any Orion customer may participate, including Orion at Home users. Best of all, they are free! There is no entry fee or lengthy registration process. All scores shot by competitors can be added to their public Score History profile.
Most importantly, Orion's Monthly Virtual Matches are meant to be fun. Enjoy competing, and enjoy comparing your scores with scores from others anywhere in the world.
Starting November 2024 there will be changes to 2 courses of fire.
The 3x10 and 3x20 Air Rifle matches will now be scored in decimal.
The Smallbore Pistol NMC matches will now be a 900 Aggregate course of fire.

Enabled Result Center for the club or team, or yourself
Sign up for the Monthly Virtual Match
There is a new set of Monthly Virtual Matches each month. There is one match for each discipline. Customers who wish to participate need to sign up each month, and for each match.
Select the 'Join' link for the match to participate in.
Select 'Yes' to confirm participation.
Download the Monthly Virtual Match to Your Orion Account
Open Orion.
On the Welcome Screen, click on the Virtual Match's name under "Create a New Match."
Orion will ask if you want to confirm and if you want to add your Favorites to the Team. Select Yes to both questions.
Once the Virtual Match is downloaded, run the match like a normal one. Add competitors and teams, print barcode labels, and score targets as normal. Orion will communicate to the Result Center on the user's behalf to report scores.

Special Instructions for the Monthly Virtual Matches
In general, after downloading the match, run it like any other Orion match. There are a few special instructions necessary to take advantage of state rankings and dynamic team generation.
Enter in the two letter state code (e.g. "VA" or "CA") for each competitor or team under the 'State' column. This is needed to correctly list the athlete or team by their state in the rankings.
Create only a single team per club. Assign all club members to that team. Orion will automatically create dynamic-teams based on individual performance.
