In the Air Pistol League, NoVA Sharpshooters still have a wide lead, although a few points less than weeks prior. This team stands nearly sure to take the win after this week. Cos Cob Revolver and Rifle Club maintain a nearly 60 point lead over 3rd place team Lafayette Gun Club.
In the New Shooter League, Fontana MCJROTC has continued to stretch out their lead, sitting nearly 64 points above 2nd place team Martin Luther King NJROTC. There is still room this week for several of the top 10 placings to change as teams complete their final matches.
4th place team Picayune NJROTC moves into Week 10 with a 6 - 1 record after defeating 10th place Summerlin Academy last week. Picayune will try to best Hereford MCJROTC in the final week to move up into 3rd place by just over 4 points.
MSYESS advanced to a 5 - 1 record last week after defeating Eldorado NJROTC. MSYESS currently holds the 11th place spot going into Week 10, and are only 0.1 points behind Summerlin Academy. This team has a good chance to make the top 10 by the end of the League, but their final match this week is against 3rd place team Norview NJROTC.
NoVA Sharpshooters tightened their grip on the lead further last week by defeating Lafayette Gun Club with their highest score yet this season, a 2211 - 33. NoVA Sharpshooters remain the only undefeated team in the Air Pistol League this season, and seem certain to capture the win next week with their over 50 point lead over 2nd place Cos Cob Revolver and Rifle Club. Their final game of the season this week will be against Cos Cob.
