The 2024 Postseason comes to a close next week after some exciting games in the semi-finals. Last year's Precision winners Granbury MCJROTC won their match to return to the Championship game, while 2023 Sporter Champions Jack C. Hays MCJROTC was defeated by North Brunswick AJROTC.
Granbury MCJROTC used their best score of the season to oust Lafayette Gun Club from the Championship game. They will advance to the Precision League title game, for the sixth season in a row now, to face Everett Sportsman Junior Rifle Club.
In a rematch from their 2023 semi-final game, this time Everett Sportsman Junior Rifle Club shot their 2nd highest score of this season to take out Sutter Union High School from the runnings.
In a regular season game in Week 5, Granbury defeated Everett by nearly 20 points. Both teams have really kicked things up a notch since then. Everett now has a higher average score than Granbury in their Postseason games. This will be one to watch.
Zion Benton NJROTC is no stranger to the Sporter League Postseason. In 2023, they were defeated in the semi-final game by Webb City AJROTC. This year, Zion Benton turned things around against Norview NJROTC to win a spot in the Championship game.
Sporter League veterans Jack C. Hays MCJROTC, who won both the 2023 Sporter Championship Tournament and the 2024 New Shooter League, were ousted from the Championship game by North Brunswick AJROTC.
Zion Benton and North Brunswick never met during the regular part of the season, so this will be another very interesting one to watch.
Kelly Walsh MCJROTC is the only returning team to this year's Sporter Invitational semi-finals. They will go no further after losing their match against Lebanon AJROTC last week.
Lafayette Gun Club won their semi-final match after an easy walk into it due to their opposing team's DNS in the first week of the Postseason.
Lafayette and Kelly Walsh had a meeting earlier this season, also in Week 5, with Lafayette taking the win by nearly 14 points.
